Sparkling clean set mahogany table

I’m proud I can use my table again for dining! It’s so easy to cover up beauty with piles of junk….hmmmm….lesson?

Yesterday

No Fooling, I actually got off my butt and began cleaning! Hooray! I was still overwhelmed and depressed by the sheer amount of work my former lassitude had plunked onto my cleaning plate, but decided to “go in the moment” and just focus one task at a time for a set period of time vs. forcing myself to complete an entire room, or project to my usual expectations.

It worked! (hmm, intuitive house cleaning?)

I sorted and filed through all of the papers on the table, paid the bills, put away the gear, washed all of the placemats and linens, polished the heck out of the table and ended up with one spot of shining serenity among the chaos.

I also moved other furniture out of the way, vacuumed the area rugs and otherwise prepared to clean the downstairs tile floors. But then my time and energy limit was reached, so I ALLOWED myself to stop mid-task and finish it today. Wow!

What a change!

Today

I’m proud that I made progress, and instead of feeling exhausted I feel energized. You release a TON of physic garbage when you declutter and clean your space. So onward today. Same approach, little by little, task by task for a certain amount of time, then I will allow myself to be satisfied and move on to other interests in my life with no guilt.

Writing group tonight, need to save energy. Also want to practice singing and voice acting.

How about you?

Please feel free to comment on MY statuses or add YOUR OWN thoughts, feelings, challenges, rants and raves on these pages too. That was one of the original purposes of why I posted on FB. I thought BCs might like to share about THEIR days. So if you have thoughts and feelings you’d like to share with the group, go ahead and put them here with your comments.

*Daily statuses are not part of the blog’s email notification. When you enter your email under where it says SUBSCRIBE TO POSTS VIA EMAIL, you will be notified of regular blog posts and when podcast episodes are released. I didn’t want to clog your inbox with my daily statuses. However, the automatic publicize feature will inform you on my show FB page, my AdventureLaurie twitter account, google+ on its show page, and Tumblr.

PS If you wish to sign up for email notification of blog postings and shows going live (not these status reports) enter your email where it says: “SUBSCRIBE TO POSTS VIA EMAIL”. This blog subscription widget is located to the right on computers and on some tablets, and below the posts on smart phones and on other types of tablets.

PSS, some BCs have asked me the difference between blog postings and status pages. Blog postings are where I develop a complete topic triggered by my status thoughts. Status thoughts are how my day went, what’s on my agenda, and how my body feels today – and not much editing or thought goes into them. That’s why I don’t clog up your email with them. 🙂

The house looks great, Laurie. Good for you! I did a little bit of that today as well, perhaps inspired by Spring or just the need to have less chaos in my environment. I miss you and my other BCs! Big hugs to everyone!

Hi Sandy, great to see you around here! Phooey on all this cleaning – but what has to be done, HAS to be done! I know what you mean though about less chaos. It is truly Zen to feel your surroundings are peaceful and not guilting you! Let me know if you’d like to get together for an early hike. I can feature you on a bonus show! xoxoxoxoxox

Thanks Dawny! This is the way the table is intended to look 😉 These place mats I bought actually to put under lamps in another room, but they didn’t go. I ALMOST took them back to the store for a refund, when I noticed they perfectly go with my dining room/kitchen decor. So I was an “accidental-intuitive” accessorized). xoxoxox
