Status 7-05-15*

Yesterday

I am DOUBLE PROUD of myself because I pulled myself up by my bootstraps and did my BIG CLEAN! That’s where I move the furniture out of the family room and my desk area, vacuum, dust, and scrub the heck out of the tiled floors. It’s the biggest part of our downstairs and takes a lot of time to actually clean and not just touch up. I also dusted and vacuumed the bookshelf over my desk, so it looks again like the last photo from this post. Hmmm, Easter cleaning, 4th of July. Seems like I use holidays as motivation to WORK. I always WAS a rebel and tended to do opposite of the expected.

After my cleaning travails which took several hours, Mark did the same to the kitchen. I’m Sooo grateful. Then we stepped outside to join our neighbors in our street for margaritas, snacks and a street view of the big fireworks show that happens every year at a nearby school. I’m also grateful we don’t have to go or drive anywhere to see a great fireworks show.

Today

Broom in the corner next to the music stand holding music.

Here’s a great representation of my day! Voice/Singing practice and further cleaning. Yikes!

Whoop there it is! More cleaning to finish off the downstairs, so we can once again have friends over to our formerly dusty house of horrors. Then voice practice and working more on pieces for my commercial voice over demo. May write some for the next episode, but that is my last priority today. Will probably move up a few places tomorrow. My new and improved VARIABLE ‘Might Do’ list vs. ‘To Do’. Helps me accomplish things as I don’t have the inner rebel against the concept of ‘might’.

Have a great day BCs!

How about you?

Please feel free to comment on MY statuses or add YOUR OWN thoughts, feelings, challenges, rants and raves on these pages too. That was one of the original purposes of why I posted on FB. I thought BCs might like to share about THEIR days. So if you have thoughts and feelings you’d like to share with the group, go ahead and put them here with your comments.

*Daily statuses are not part of the blog’s email notification. When you enter your email under where it says SUBSCRIBE TO POSTS VIA EMAIL, you will be notified of regular blog posts and when podcast episodes are released. I didn’t want to clog your inbox with my daily statuses. However, the automatic publicize feature will inform you on my show FB page, my AdventureLaurie twitter account, google+ on its show page, and Tumblr.

PS If you wish to sign up for email notification of blog postings and shows going live (not these status reports) enter your email where it says: “SUBSCRIBE TO POSTS VIA EMAIL”. This blog subscription widget is located to the right on computers and on some tablets, and below the posts on smart phones and on other types of tablets.

PSS, some BCs have asked me the difference between blog postings and status pages. Blog postings are where I develop a complete topic triggered by my status thoughts. Status thoughts are how my day went, what’s on my agenda, and how my body feels today – and not much editing or thought goes into them. That’s why I don’t clog up your email with them. πŸ™‚

Whoo hoo Dawny for having cleaning AND fun. Cleaning is exhausting for me (maybe because we procrastinate it out of hand) BUT between Mark and me as a team (each having our own areas of responsibility works best for us), we cleaned the entire downstairs. YAY! Now friends and strangers can be welcomed by an open door vs. a furtive peek round it. Today is finally cooler so we’re heading out in a few to the river to do some biking. I’m excited, it’s been awhile since we’ve been on the bike. Then back to working on voice work. Hope this week continues to bring you new peace and new discoveries. xoxoxoxox
