I’m feeling bright eyed and bushy tailed at the next to top Zen Place early Easter.

Podcast Recap

Our Easter ‘EGG-stravaganza!’ First I ponder my latest tussle with diet mentality, then I share a short clip of Mark and my visit to a familiar spot. I play a snippet of my new podcast, Stories and Voice, featuring the show theme written and sung by BC Fionna, an excerpt of a cowboy story written by Mark and voiced by professional voice actor, Jacques Du Long, and part of the interesting interview I had with Jacques about his history and why he auditioned to voice Mark’s story. Dawny’s EGG-cellent Foolish fun wraps up our Easter visit to the Next to Top Zen place.

    Ohhhh how I’ve missed you & BC’s & the show. Such a grand treat Laurie.
    I admire you soooooo much!!!! You are the BRAVEST gal ever!!! Posting here so honestly about latest adventures in life with weight. And yet AGAIN you’ve inspired my thinker and helped me realize and reaffirm my latest adventure is the right path!!!
    I’ve given up ‘dieting/tracking/counting’.
    It was a very scary decision. I’m in week 2!! It was time. It felt/feels right.

    I sure enjoyed the singings. Fionna has a lovely voice!!! But sure not to be out done by mark =~}

    Such fun Laurie!!!!

      Thanks GF! I told Mark his singing would add a great element to his interview and story. No it wasn’t fun falling backwards, but hiking up the mountain to get it off my chest helped me refocus. And I’ve felt better ever since. Sending you bravery vibes as you move away from your diet habits. It is really scary, but you will be able to get a feel for whether this is right, or if WW is still the support for you. And if I truly believed another diet would be good for me, I never say never, but this past experience kind of showed me the likelihood of that for me is not too great. Thanks again for your support of this tag along show. We are seeing listeners, but not too many still in the conversation. So I really appreciate you letting me know I’m not alone, talking to myself again. xoxoxoxox

      Welcome Tracey, and thanks so much for taking the time to post this encouraging comment! I hope you enjoy the company and wisdom of the other brave companions (as we all became during the course of the show). I learned so much by sharing my experiences and hearing from others and was SO comforted by discovering I wasn’t alone in my struggles (or what I perceived at my crazy, compulsive mind). It freed me to be brave and to go for my dreams no matter what my size, and to slowly let food be food and friends be friends if that makes sense. I’m so happy to ‘meet you’ and please feel free to comment anytime you like. xoxoxoxox
