Fantastic view during this AM’s hike. I haven’t felt so well, in a long, long time. What a blessing and an opportunity to be out in this world of color and peace.

Podcast Recap

During a fantastic morning hike, I relate my gratitude for episode 26’s power to stop my binge. I also wax poetic about the ups and downs of weight, compulsion, and how we might become more accepting and peaceful with our bodies.
Sky the hiking dog I meet up with from time to time.

Sky the hiking dog. I met up with him and his owner/daddy today. Love his blue eyes. Cute pup!

    Hello!
I’ve listened to your first 5 podcasts.
I wanted to comment on the episode about not having any feedback. I am sorry… I’m one of those who consumes content without ever commenting! I’m also a food addict and working real hard on that and I think I’ve transfered from a foodbinge to content-binge; that’s what this episode made me realize: I did an addiction transfer… Consuming lots of content is very helpful right now as it keeps me focused and out of my fridge, but one day I will need adress this, since I am still obsessing over food/diet/exercice, even if I’m shedding off pounds.

Point being… It helps me a lot for now but I forget to say thank you. So, thank you 🙂

Plus… I mainly listen to podcasts when I walk or in the car, so to go comment on the net is not accessible at that very moment I’m listening. But I’m making up excuses… I should thank all content-creators like you as it is extremely helpful in my own path to health. Bevan James Eyles… Betsy Thurston… greatly helful podcasters for me.

Please, please… continue. Thank you for bringing me along your journey. And also, thank you for the courage of truthfullness. It’s exactly what I need. Please do not doubt yourself and post all your thoughts. you doubted your episode on Trader Joe’s ? I loved it. You doubted your episode on this ‘pathetic’ feeling of yours about feeling unloved ? I loved it.

I used to read more but for the last months I’ve been discovering great podcasts. I’m thinking of doing one of my own, as I am french Canadian and there is very little french podcast content! Your podcast inspires me a lot as to what kind of podcast I would like to make. Your podcast is honest, touching. At first I told myself I’d wait to loose all the weight and then do a podcast on how to succeed. That was kind of a goal that kept me motivated. But now, you’ve convinced me that NOW is the time…

Thank you. I don’t know you, but I love you…

    Stéfanie 🙂

Hi Stéfanie! Thank you so much for taking the time to post your thoughtful comments of encouragement. I support you in your idea of podcasting. I too, felt that I didn’t have anything to say that was worthwhile since I was fat, yet again. I too, thought that I needed to succeed at weight loss in order to inspire others. What I’ve discovered, is that the episodes I most fear, where I feel most exposed and foolish, are the very ones that my listeners most respond to. It is wonderful to know that who you are right now is someone worth knowing. Someone with value and insight. You have a wonderful way with words and I bet you will make a great podcaster! Thanks too for mentioning other podcasts that you find helpful. I’ll go check them out, as I also listen to podcasts when I walk. You’re very welcome as my own podcasts help me the very most, but I’m always pleased when I discover that they help others as well. Thanks again for stopping by, and I hope to see you again when you are able. I care very much about how you are doing. Laurie

PS, if you love those podcasts, go rate or review them in iTunes if you can. Having recent good ratings is one of the things that make a podcast appear closer to the top of search results or near the top in new and noteworthy in iTunes. Every single podcaster I know super appreciates good iTunes ratings and reviews since iTunes is still where about half of our traffic comes from. 🙂

Bienvenue, Stefanie! I want to encourage you to think about creating your own podcast and I agree with Laurie that you have a nice way with words. And with honesty! Go for it!
