I accidentally left our back door open and Tiger snuck out. With cars, coyotes, owls, dogs and high fences that require balance our little tailless cat doesn’t have, it puts everything in perspective for me. I would gladly weigh 300 pounds again forever, if it brought him home safe.

Right now, we’ve done all we can and he’ll either come home again or not. It was an accident, but still my mistake. My heart is heavy. Love is really all that matters in the end. I hope I can forgive myself. I hope he comes home. I am beyond sad.

He came home finally, he was playing behind our back fence neighbor’s yard and got stuck and we found him with our flashlights. Once he saw us, he decided to play chase and run away for a few hours until he got hungry. I sang Gracie’s milk song and that tempted Tiger home. Thanks for the good thoughts and prayers.

    Laurie,
I am so sad to hear that Tiger is out there…I’m a “wishin’ a hoping and a prayin’ that a neighbor finds him and looks for his mama and papa. A sad time for you with Tiger “love” missing. My heart is hurting too because our pets are our closet friends. I can so relate and when they’re missing, it creates an unease that’s not easily managed until Tiger is found. For now, I weigh in that Tiger will be found…soon!

Oh, thank goodness! I’m so very glad to hear that he came home. He was just trying to show his mama what was important! I hope his return has you feeling all kinds of better!

He surely did Amy. He was my inspiration for the letting go segment on day 90, and it was a BIGGIE. Hope you are feeling better and your holidays won’t stress. I try to remember, it’s ok to eat some food. I just try to enjoy it, no matter what the portion size, and stop when it no longer tastes amazing. HUGS xoxoxoxo

As Amy from WI says, perhaps he was just trying to show his mama what was important 😉

Hi Suzanne, I’m so glad too that Tiger decided to finally come home and that he seems fine. Exhausted, and a bit sore, like he pulled a muscle slightly by trying to jump and climb the fences. But overall, he is the same, happy, purring cat, and nothing could have made me more happy and Thankful. I’m sorry he gave me, and hence all of you, worry. Your support means so much. xoxoxoxox

So glad that Tiger is home and safe with you. It is amazing how something like this sharpens up what is really important to you. You have been through an emotional roller coaster so I hope you are able to find comfort.

Thanks Sue. I AM finding comfort in his purr and his cuddles. I admit, chips sounded good while he was gone, but they didn’t work. Hugging him is better than the best chip any day. Thanks again for your support. It so helped me! xoxoxoxoxoxo

Yes indeedy, that was a VERY stressful night, but it DID teach me a huge lesson. Tiger is my bud for sure, and I love his momma, Gracie too. They are my family and it so showed me what is important to think I had lost him. Every lesson I learn seems to be some variation of “Relationships are important”, “Love is important”, the rest is just stuff and activity 😉 xoxoxoxox
