Stéfanie from Quebec weighs in with her thoughts on day 113. Two wonderful and touching stories from two new brave BCs – Shea and eM. Mark and I launch another new feature – Laurie’s Stories. I read a story of my own from last week’s wild and wooly writing group that was inspired by the current fad, Cards Against Humanity. Triggered by a comment conversation with BC Dave on one of my status reports, I explore the idea of what it means to find joy.

I noticed when I got home, that I accidentally took a selfie that features Nicole and Jessie who I interview in this episode. How’s THAT for lucky? I’d been regretting not asking for a photo.

This shows the unusually crowded trail conditions as I recorded on Memorial Day and people were out enjoying their day off.

This little red box is my newest audio equipment. It’s a Focusrite Solo Audio Interface. It turns the signal from the mic into digital files better than going directly to the computer. I used it for recording my story and I think you will hear how it improves my sound. Now, I’m getting a mic stand next week as I hate recording with my mic balanced on stacks of books!

Frustration is my target today. It’s windy, it’s crowded, and I have to park my good car in the rugged mountain hiking lot! We celebrate the Bravery of new BC, Shannon, who posts her story and asks for our thoughts on the ‘Want Advice?’ page. Dawny steps in to welcome Shannon as well as to give us a funny joke for Foolish Fun. We hear what’s up with Amy from WI, Sue from the UK, Jill from the UK and Stéfanie from Quebec. Here’s why my list of items to work on to make my life better includes researching a more permanent home sound booth setup. My current procedure of dragging out quilts and foam rubber and draping them over laundry racks every time I need to record inside is getting a bit old.

I’m happy to be back on the mountain – even if a storm IS brewing!

Risking some stormy weather I’m back up the mountain letting go of assuming things need to come easily to be part of my path, i.e., I learn to embrace the slog! Welcome new BC Rosemary from New York. Fionna’s Brave Companion Song is now available as a standalone. A brand new feature where you call in with tips and tricks about food, fun or life. I start this feature with a tip I’ve learned recently from Michelle, a great blogger, who writes as the ‘Fat Nutritionist’. BC Dave goes on the Bravery Report twice. Hooray! Out of the house and under the podcast tree. It’s great to be outside after being so sick this week.

After a terrible case of food poisoning or stomach flu, I let go of knowing what to expect from my body and assuming I know what it needs. I’ll be on call again for jury duty next week (postponed due to my illness) and may not be online.
